Patrick D. Henneberry – Senior Vice President, Commodities Management and Sales
In the key position as Senior Vice President of Commodities Management and Sales at Imperial Sugar Company, Patrick Henneberry identifies new sources of high-quality raw cane sugar, domestically and internationally, at the best possible prices is critical to Imperial Sugar’s profitability.
Henneberry takes in a big-picture view of the industry while assessing month-to-month dynamics of the business. He follows market forces, such as the state of U.S. crops for sugar cane and sugar beets, status of Mexican sugar harvests – as well as the impact that global credit, worldwide supply and pricing has the price of raw sugar in the U.S.
Among his responsibilities, Henneberry oversees relationships with growers, executes hedging transactions and manages Imperial Sugar’s export program.
He joined the company in 2002, bringing significant experience in sugar trading and distribution. Henneberry spent 18 years with Louis Dreyfus Corporation, where he served as executive vice president and second-in-command of that company’s worldwide sugar operations. He headed the company’s sugar trading and distribution in the Western Hemisphere.
Henneberry holds a bachelor’s of science degree in agricultural economics and mathematics from the University of Minnesota. He received a master’s of arts degree in economics from New York University.
