John C. Sheptor
John C. Sheptor, Chief Executive Officer and President of Imperial Sugar Company, is recognized as a visionary leader in the global manufacturing and supply chain industries. He is known for achieving strong organizational growth, expanding the company’s markets across borders, and building resourceful teams that succeed in the most challenging of times.
As chief executive, Sheptor is responsible for all operations, logistics, sales, marketing, customer service, and commodities management areas that support Imperial Sugar’s evolving go-to-market and consumer outreach strategies.
Having led global strategic business initiatives in more than 80 countries during his career, Sheptor was appointed to deputy director of the Supply Chain Management System initiative funded under President Bush’s Emergency Plan for HIV/AIDS Relief program. There, he drove large-scale change to the healthcare delivery system, improving service and care to thousands of patients in Africa.
Previously, Sheptor served as Executive Vice President in charge of all worldwide operations at Merisant, the distributor of Equal. His career includes executive management of supply chain and manufacturing at Monsanto Company, with substantial international focus. He is fluent in Portuguese and conversational in Spanish.
