Houston Celebs Promote Imperial Frosting

Just before Christmas, local celebrities mixed it up with customers at the River Park HEB grocery store in Sugar Land, Texas. They were whipping up batches of Baker’s Supreme all-natural premium frosting mix recently launched by Imperial Sugar.

While whipping up frosting, Chef Eddy van Damne is fed a Baker's Supreme frosted cookie by radio personality Dana Tyson of Sunny 99.1.

Houston’s Sunny 99.1 radio personality Dana Tyson and pastry chef Eddy Van Damme set up shop Monday evening with Imperial employees in the HEB bakery. The merry crew served sugar cookies topped with Baker’s Supreme Gourmet Chocolate and Classic White frostings to some 300 patrons during a two-hour period.

Darrell Gerdes, manager of new product development at Imperial, said tables were set up for the kids – and adults – to decorate the cookies with sprinkles. “People loved the product and said it was ‘as good as grandma’s.’ Plus, they liked the all-in-one-box convenience and five-minute preparation time.”

Another product demo with Chef Eddy and Tyson was scheduled for the Sienna Market HEB in Missouri City, Texas, on Wednesday, December 23.
