Consumer demand for natural products is leading food and beverage manufacturers back to using pure cane sugar once again in leading products, according to FoodNavigator-USA.com. Pepsi Natural is among the new products doing well with consumers even though it is sold at a premium.
According to food and beverage survey company Mintel, ‘natural’ is the leading claim on new product labels and was included on 23 percent of foods and beverages launched last year.
