Consumer Demand for Natural Products Leads to Sugar

Pepsi NaturalConsumer demand for natural products is leading food and beverage manufacturers back to using pure cane sugar once again in leading products, according to FoodNavigator-USA.com. Pepsi Natural is among the new products doing well with consumers even though it is sold at a premium.

According to food and beverage survey company Mintel, ‘natural’ is the leading claim on new product labels and was included on 23 percent of foods and beverages launched last year.
